About

What the lab is for.

How we think about the work.

Telasian Labs is a frontier-AI research lab. We work on the foundational layer of modern AI: how frontier models are built, how LLMs and agents are designed, trained, and governed. The science and infrastructure of intelligence itself.

What we work on

We work on the foundational layer of modern AI. The path that interests us runs beneath the applications: how frontier models are built, how LLMs and agents are designed and trained, and the frameworks that make sense of where intelligence is going.

Most of the field is racing to use AI. The lab works on how AI is made: the science and infrastructure of intelligence itself. The outputs are deep-dive papers, original analysis of frontier developments, and frameworks for understanding where the work is going next.

Areas of interest

Directions the lab is oriented toward, not products it has committed to.

  • 01

    Architecture and training

How frontier models are built. Neural network design, training methodology, scaling, post-training. The architectural commitments that lock in path-dependent behaviors and where the published frontier has converged versus where the open space still is.

  • 02

    Data substrate

Pre-training corpora composition, synthetic data, the upstream decisions that shape every behavior the alignment layer tries to tune. The layer where the model's prior gets decided.

  • 03

    Evaluation

Methods for measuring model capability, especially on tasks resistant to clean ground truth. The next generation of evals, beyond benchmarks that are already saturating.

  • 04

    Retrieval

Indexing, ranking, and the open questions in retrieval-augmented systems. What changes as context windows keep growing and where the substrate-level decisions live.

  • 05

    Infrastructure

The compute and serving layers beneath research-grade work. Inference-time reasoning, post-training compute reallocation, where ergonomic tooling is still missing.

  • 06

    Alignment and governance

How LLMs and agents are designed, trained, and kept honest. The case for upstream governance that operates on the substrate, not on the deployment layer where current policy sits.

How the lab works

Rigor before reach.

The lab does deep research only. No takes, no commentary, no surface-level analysis. Every piece holds a position that the rest of the analysis defends. Published work is edited before it goes out and stands on its own as research, not as marketing for the lab.

The voice is serious, rigorous, forward-looking. Substance over buzzwords. Confident, not loud. The work speaks for itself.

The name

Telasian is built from telos: purpose, aim, end-state, completion. The brand reading is purposeful, directed, useful, intentional.
